The Sullivan Family

Filed under: Julie Edwards Photographer — Julie Edwards @ 3:23 pm

The Sullivan family was all together for Christmas this year, which was a rare treat for all of them. Mom and Dad lost their home in Rancho Bernardo in the fires.

We met at La Jolla Cove, on a very cold but not rainy afternoon right before the new year started.

The family.

The Zarrella Family

Filed under: Julie Edwards Photographer — Julie Edwards @ 10:08 pm

I met with the Zarrella Family at Old Poway Park to create some new family heirlooms. It was a busy weekend for me, but it’s my good fortune that I was able to squeeze

them in and get to know them a little bit.

Notice the slab of rock in the foreground of this last portrait. That’s what’s left of the family pool table. “Slater” was hauled around the park to be included in as many images as possible. He will be built into the new home as well.

This image also became the Zarrella family Christmas card, which contained a beautiful sentiment written by Marta. The line that gets me every time is “Home is where the heart is- and that is safe and sound”.

As a photographer, I am privileged to peek in to the lives of many people. The Zarrella’s are a wonderful, strong family that I am honored to have met.
